My name is Nic. I’m a passionate photographer from Colombia, obsessed with the natural world.

Driven by curiosity, I focus my lens on rare nature. My inspiration lives at the intersection of art, science and awareness, so I aim to create work that is visually appealing, intellectually stimulating and meaningful.

Using various mediums I want to bridge the gap between image, word and real life experience.

My aim is to “Raise Awareness.”

Which has a dual meaning:

1. To draw attention to endangered species

2. To heighten consciousness

Studying our environment teaches us about ourselves, and learning / accepting ourselves helps us find peace.

I want to be an aperture through which my audience can discover, explore and celebrate the beauty that lies hidden in plain sight (inside and outside each of us) , before it disappears forever.

Beauty is everywhere . . . if you open your eyes wide enough:

My photos have been showcased in publications such as the Kompass Travel Guide and in exhibitions in USA/Europe.

I have published various 1st and 2nd author articles in scientific periodicals such as the Journal of Neurophysiology, the Journal of Medical Devices and IEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering.

I hope the world finds inspiration in the ubiquitous beauty that is often overlooked!
